Man Stabbed Near 400 Block Shorline in Long Beach; Suspect Remains at Large

LONG BEACH, Calif. — A man was hospitalized Saturday evening after being stabbed in downtown Long Beach, according to police.

The incident occurred on May 30, 2026, at approximately 7:01 p.m. in the 400 block of Shoreline Village. Officers responded to reports of an assault with a deadly weapon and arrived to find an adult male suffering from a stab wound to his upper body.

Long Beach Fire Department personnel transported the victim to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

According to a preliminary investigation, the victim and an adult male suspect were involved in a verbal dispute that escalated into violence when the suspect allegedly stabbed the victim.

The suspect fled the area before officers arrived and has not been located.

Police have not released a description of the suspect, and no arrests have been made. The motive for the stabbing remains under investigation.
