Long Beach Collision Investigation detectives are examining a deadly crash that occurred late Tuesday night, Nov. 12, 2025, leaving a woman dead at the intersection of East Anaheim Street and Alamitos Avenue.
Authorities say the incident happened at approximately 10:25 p.m., when officers were dispatched to reports of a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision. Responding officers found an adult female lying in the roadway. Long Beach Fire Department personnel arrived shortly after and pronounced her deceased at the scene.
According to preliminary findings, a 1997 Chevrolet Sierra traveling westbound on East Anaheim Street struck the pedestrian as she was in the roadway outside of a marked crosswalk. Investigators say the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated fully with officers.
At this stage, detectives do not believe speed, impaired driving, or distracted driving played a role in the collision.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the woman’s identity once next of kin have been notified. The investigation remains ongoing.
