Four LBSU track and field athletes move on to the NCAA Championships

Four track and field athletes from Long Beach State will be moving on to the NCAA championships in Austin, Texas June 5-8 held at the Mike A. Myers Stadium.

Senior Kemonie Briggs competed in the long jump event yesterday on June 5. Briggs finished in 7th place jumping at 7.87 meters.
Junior Raleigh Adams competed in the 110 meter hurdles yesterday at 7:30 p.m. As a sophomore, Adams had a personal record of 13.58 on the 110 meter hurdles and 54.34 on the 400 meter. Adams did not finish in last night’s race.

Senior Courtne Davis will be competing in the 100 meter dash on Thursday, June 6 at 8:15 p.m. In 2018, Davis competed in the NCAA championship and broke LBSU’s record time of 44.59 in the 4×100 meter relay.
Senior Bria Palmer will be competing in the high jump on Saturday, June 8 at 5 p.m. As a junior, Palmer won the high jump five consecutive times and placed in third at the Big West Championship in 2018.
