Fatal pedestrian crash under investigation in North Long Beach
A pedestrian was struck Tuesday night at approximately 6:25 p.m. in North Long Beach. The Long Beach Police were called to the area of Artesia and Atlantic for an injury traffic accident between a vehicle and a pedestrian.
At this time the incident has been determined a traffic fatality and collision detectives are in route to investigate the scene said Long Beach Police spokesperson Arantxa Chavarria.

Both lanes of traffic on Artesia from Butler are close for traffic, as well as the 710 off-ramp (westbound) at Artesia.
The investigation is ongoing we will have more info when available.
This is the 5th fatal traffic collision the last 5 days in Long Beach.
