15-year-old shot and wounded in Long Beach
On 7/23/20 at approximately 10:55 am, Long Beach police officers were dispatched to the 40 block of West 49th Street regarding a no hit shooting.
Upon arrival, officers located a 15-year-old male victim with a minor injury to his lower torso. Long Beach Fire Department was contacted and the victim was treated on scene according to LBPD PIO Ivan Garcia.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim’s injury occurred when he tripped as he ran from the scene. The victim refused to provide any further information regarding the shooting.
No suspect information is available at this time.
Though the reason for the shooting is unknown, Gang Detectives are on scene conducting an investigation.
The investigation is ongoing.
