Long Beach Detectives Investigate Fatal Shooting on Falcon Avenue

Long Beach homicide detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a man early Sunday morning in the 200 block of Falcon Avenue.

According to the Long Beach Police Department, officers were dispatched around 1:28 a.m. on Oct. 12, 2025, after reports of gunfire in the area. When officers arrived, they found a male adult suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body.

Long Beach Fire Department personnel transported the victim to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Homicide detectives responded to the scene and are working to determine the motive and circumstances surrounding the shooting. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin by the Los Angeles County Department of the Medical Examiner.
