Cal State Long Beach Development to be Built in Downtown Long Beach

Today, Mayor Robert Garcia announced a brand new student village development in partnership with Cal State Long Beach today at the Beverly O’Neil Theater.  The new project will consist of student residency, the University Art Museum, and a new University Innovation Center with classrooms and labs.

“Long Beach is quickly becoming a model city for strategic development that supports a more livable, innovative and sustainable future,” said Mayor Robert Garcia. “The proposed CSULB student village is a home run for the City and the university. Student and faculty housing will activate our Downtown Core with new economic opportunities and academic partnerships.”

This new project will be located at the former City Place location that use to house the former Fresh and Easy which is in the process of being re-branded into “The Streets.”
