Arrest Made After Fatal Stabbing in West Long Beach

On May 23, 2021, at approximately 8:40 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of Williams Street in West Side Long Beach regarding a stabbing between roommates, resulting in a male adult’s death.

The first arriving officers located the victim suffering from wounds to their upper torso. Officers provided medical aid until Long Beach Fire Department personnel arrived and determined the victim to be deceased at the scene.

Based on the preliminary investigation, the victim and their male adult roommate were both inside of the residence when a dispute ensued and escalated to a stabbing. At this time, the victim is only being identified as a male adult in their 60’s pending notification to their next of kin.

The suspect has been identified as Eric Doore, a 51-year-old resident of Long Beach. They were taken into custody and booked on one count of murder. They remain in custody at the Long Beach City Jail where they are being held on $2,000,000 bail.

The investigation remains ongoing as detectives continue to gather evidence. They anticipate presenting the facts of the case to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office later this week for filing consideration.
