Love Long Beach Festival returns for First Time since the Pandemic Began

LONG BEACH, CA – The seventh annual Love Long Beach Festival will take place this weekend in a celebration of life and magic at the Shoreline Aquatic Park.

This festival is family-friendly and free to children ages 15 and under.

Marketing Director Anton Tumas, who also DJs on the Noise Stage during the festival, said that the main goal of the event was to make sure the tickets were as affordable as possible.

“These days, what we’re trying to offer to everybody is by far one of the cheapest [festivals] in Southern California,” Tumas said.

Tumas said the philosophy of the festival was to maintain a lower ticket price during a time when the costs of gas, groceries and rent were inflating.

Guests will find plenty of activities to help them relax, reduce stress and temporarily let go of their daily worries at this weekend’s festival. The Healing Arts Village, hosted by Long Beach Light Tribe, offers yoga, sound baths, massage, acupuncture, cupping, and facial and cranial massages.

A series of workshops will also be offered throughout the two-day festival. Some of these workshops include Awakened Warrior Breathwork, Hacking the Nervous System with Sierra Marina, Authenticating Your True Self with James Steele, and the Goddess Dance.

As a family-friendly event, Love Long Beach Festival offers activities for kids as well. The Kids Village, located within the Healing Village, will offer “a diversity of workshops, games, arts and crafts, nature based toys, dancing, storytelling, singing, cozy spaces, and a resting test,” according to the festival’s webpage. There will also be childcare offered to families during the festival from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Music will be played by various DJ artists and live performances during the course of the festival. Tumas said the DJ artists gained the most popularity in past festivals, so two of the three music stages will host over twenty DJ guest artists, including Tumas himself.

For those looking to shop around, the Love Long Beach Festival hosts over fifty vendors offering a variety of services and products including crystals, clothes, face painting, jewelry, hennas, massage and CBD. Food vendors will also be provided, many of which will offer plant-based and vegan snacks.

The festival will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday this weekend, and tickets ranging from $30 to $100 are available for purchase through the Love Long Beach Festival’s website. All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
