Stabbing Incidents continue in Long Beach; Two Reported over the Weekend

LONG BEACH, CA – Preliminary information released by Long Beach Police Department on Oct. 24 reports two additional stabbing incidents occurred over the weekend.

The week of Oct. 17 began with a report of multiple stabbings happening just hours apart from each other and continued with additional stabbings being reported throughout the week in various parts of the city.

Although a suspect in the Oct. 17 incident was arrested, an alarming number of stabbings have occurred since.

Below are the details of the two latest:

Officers investigate a stabbing: On Oct. 23, 2022, at approximately 9:29 p.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Long Beach Boulevard and Anaheim Street regarding a stabbing. Upon arrival, officers contacted a female adult victim who suffered a stab wound to the upper torso. The Long Beach Fire Department responded and transported the victim to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The victim was uncooperative and did not provide suspect information. The investigation is ongoing.
