Comedy Legend and Long Beach Local Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias to Serve as Grand Marshal of Acura Grand Prix

Long Beach, Calif. (April 4, 2024) – The upcoming Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach is set to add a comedic twist to the racing fervor as actor and comedian Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias steps into the role of Grand Marshal for the featured NTT INDYCAR SERIES race on Sunday, April 21.

Iglesias, renowned for his stand-up comedy performances and roles in feature films, will kick off the race by delivering the iconic command, “Drivers, start your engines!” just before the scheduled 12:45 p.m. PT start time.

With a global following, Iglesias has solidified his place as one of America’s most successful comedians, boasting sold-out concerts worldwide and a significant presence on social media platforms.

Recognized by The Hollywood Reporter as one of the “Top 40 Comedy Players,” Iglesias has shared the stage with comedy legends like Jerry Seinfeld and Chris Rock.
