He’s been struggling with all the noise and confinement that comes with being in a shelter so he needs a foster, adoption or rescue placement ASAP! Fritz is smart, treat-motivated and knows how to sit and shake. He needs a patient owner who can help him with his training and this bundle of energy would be best in a home without small children. If an adventure buddy is what you seek, Fritz is ready to be your copilot.

On Jan. 19, detectives with the Long Beach Police

On Jan. 19, detectives with the Long Beach Police Department’s Computer Crimes Detail, and the East Division Directed Enforcement Team, arrested Randal Stevens, a 53-year-old resident of Long Beach for one count of possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material.

In July 2021, detectives received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children regarding possible online possession of child sexual abuse material....

On Jan. 16, 2022, at approximately 10:15 p.m., off

On Jan. 16, 2022, at approximately 10:15 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting that occurred inside an open business near the 1900 block of Willow Street, which resulted in the death of a male adult.

Upon arrival, officers located a male adult suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his upper body. Officers rendered life-saving aid until Long Beach Fire Department personnel arrived on the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Homicide detectives were notified and responded to the scene after the victim was pronounced deceased. Through their preliminary investigation, detectives discovered the victim, who was an employee of the business, was involved in a verbal dispute with a customer, a male adult suspect. The argument escalated into a shooting and the suspect discharged multiple gunshots toward the victim. The suspect was last seen exiting the business and fleeing the scene on foot in an unknown direction.

The identification of the victim and notification to next of kin will be conducted by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner–Coroner’s Office.

A tsunami Advisory (just under a Warning) is in effect Saturday for Southern California and other parts of the Pacific coast following a powerful undersea volcano eruption near the Pacific nation of Tonga.
