Long Beach Based Plane Evacuated After Landing In Seattle

Two planes, including one that departed from Long Beach, were evacuated on arrival Sunday at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport due to what a spokesman called a “security concern.”

JetBlue spokesman Sebastian White said JetBlue Flight 1006 from Long Beach, California, arrived about 4:15 p.m. to a remote parking stand where passengers and their belongings were re-screened.

All passengers and both planes were cleared by 6 p.m., SeaTac police said.

White said 150 passengers were aboard the plane, along with a crew of five.
