On Sunday, October 2nd at approximately 10:13 a.m.

On Sunday, October 2nd at approximately 10:13 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 5200 block of East 25th Street regarding a report of a person pointing a gun at another person, which resulted in an officer involved shooting.

5100 block of East Vernon Street near Clark and Willow around 12:00pm.

LBPD, LBFD are on scene of a barricaded suspect inside a residence. The suspect is possibly armed. LBPD has the area closed for an unknown duration

SWAT is on scene. The suspect is still barricaded with a firearm and periodically looking out the window or going outside.

He's young, active, strong and would benefit from a dog savvy owner who could provide the guidance Choco needs to become the best Pittadorgi he can be. He loves attention and will stand patiently for scratches for as long as you're willing to provide them. This young boy has been with us since February and is eager to experience what real life is like out of a shelter and in a loving home.

@portoflongbeach and its industry partners earlier this month demonstrated how one port trucking company is converting to a full zero-emissions trucking fleet by 2025, a full decade before the 2035 zero-emissions goal set by the Clean Air Action Plan.

The announcement was made at 4 Gen Logistics in the Port of Long Beach, where Electrify America will install 60 public charging stations by the end of 2023 to serve its own fleet of electric trucks, as well as other companies’ trucks.

4 Gen will also purchase 41 Volvo and 20 Kenworth electric heavy-duty trucks, with plans eventually calling for a 100-vehicle zero emissions fleet. In addition, 4 Gen’s site in Rialto will host 30 charging stations. #portoflongbeach #longbeach

Atlas (#A669744) is approximately 2 years old and he's a big smiling, tail wagging, young guy with 3 awesome black spots down his back and a goofy, playful gallop. He's treat motivated and playful, active and loves to do the zoomies around the play yard. He seeks out affection and loves to be pet. He came to us as a stray in January and is now one of the many great dogs that sadly seems to have gotten stuck in our shelter system. The name Atlas is Greek and means 'bearer of the heavens', but this young dog shouldn't have to carry the weight of the world on his own. He deserves a forever family to share long walks, playtimes, movie nights and all of life's adventures.
