Long Beach Police Department Holding Warrant Clearing Event This Weekend

In an effort to address the numerous misdemeanor warrants currently in the system, the Long Beach Police Department will be holding a warrant clearing event this weekend for non-violent offenses.

Anyone with an outstanding traffic or non-violent misdemeanor warrant, issued by the Long Beach Police Department, is encouraged to come to the event. Individuals will be issued a notice to appear document with a new court date, so they can take care of their original violation, without fear of arrest. The outstanding arrest warrant for the original charge will be removed from the warrant system.

“We are hopeful this event will assist those who may not know how to go about clearing their warrant, or ease the minds of individuals coming into contact with law enforcement,” stated Detective Division Commander Paul LeBaron. “We are providing community members with active warrants the opportunity to take control of their current situation.”

The event will be held as follows:

Date:
Saturday, September 15, 2018

Time:
11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Location:
Long Beach City College – Pacific Coast Campus
1305 E. Pacific Coast Highway, Long Beach, CA 90806
(Parking Lot on the northeast corner of PCH & Orange)

Please note, the following warrants are NOT eligible for a citation release:
• Felonies

• The misdemeanor cited in the warrant involves a violation of a restraining, protective, or stay-away order
