Councilmember Rex Richardson Invites the Public to the 2019 Veterans Day Celebration
Long Beach Councilmember Rex Richardson is proud to invite the public to the 2019 Veterans Day Celebration. This free community event will take place on Saturday, November 9th between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00p.m.
“Our annual Veterans Day Celebration is back and better than ever!” said Councilmember Richardson. “I’m looking forward to spending the day with friends and neighbors as we honor the contributions of our local veterans and their dedication to country and community.”
The 2019 Veterans Day Celebration will begin with the 23rd Annual Veterans Day Parade and lead into a community street fair. The parade will stretch down Atlantic Avenue from Houghton Park to the Michelle Obama Neighborhood Library (South St.) and the community street fair will be on Atlantic Avenue between the Michele Obama Library and 60th St.
Atlantic Avenue will be closed and filled with live music, great food, a beer garden, vendors, a Kid’s Zone and more!
This event is sponsored by The City of Long Beach and Councilmember Richardson, with generous donations from the Port of Long Beach and the Long Beach Airport.
