Man shot, wounded during confrontation in North Long Beach

On Saturday at 10:55 a.m., Long Beach Police officers responded to the 100 block of East 69th St. regarding a report of a shooting victim. When LBPD officers arrived they located an adult male victim with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his lower torso said Long Beach Police spokesperson Jennie De Prez.

Long Beach Fire responded to the scene and transported the victim to a local hospital in stable condition.  Officers established a perimeter to search for the suspect.  Suspect is described as adult male and is outstanding.

Preliminary investigation revealed the victim and suspect engaged in a confrontation with one another, which led to the shooting.  Gang Detail detectives are responding to the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
