Update Looting Task Force Nets Additional Arrests 10/28/20:

On June 1, 2020, the Long Beach Police Department formed the Looting Task Force with the sole purpose of conducting criminal investigations for significant crimes during the civil unrest experienced in the city in late May.

Thus far, the task force has made a multitude of arrests and continues to bring to justice those responsible for crimes like looting, burglary, robbery, and vandalism. Statistics yielded by the task force as of October 14, 2020 are as follow:

  • 45 arrests
  • 54 arrest warrants obtained
  • 56 additional cases submitted to the District Attorney or City Prosecutor
  • 30 vehicles impounded
  • 32 search warrants served

Below is a summary of arrests and charges of suspects since our latest update:

  • Clintoneisha Brown, 24-years-old, resident of the City of Los Angeles, was arrested for looting on September 16, 2020, and bail was set at $50,000
  • Hassan Alexander, 26-years-old, resident of the City of Los Angeles, was arrested for looting on September 22, 2020, and bail was set at $50,000
  • Kristian Dunbar, 30-years-old, resident of Long Beach, was arrested for looting on October 6, 2020, and bail was set at $50,000
  • Jason Jones, 40-years-old, resident of the City of Compton, was arrested for looting on October 6, 2020, and bail was set at $100,000
  • Tarik Nichols, 21-years-old, resident of the City of Carson, was arrested for looting and vandalism on October 8, 2020, and bail was set at $50,000
  • Michael Windfield, 24-years-old, resident of Long Beach, was arrested for looting on October 8, 2020, and bail was set at $50,000
  • Tyson Campbell, 44-years-old, resident of the City of Bellflower, was arrested for looting and obstructing a law enforcement officer on October 9, 2020, and bail was set at $1,250,000
  • Ruben Larry, 44-years-old, resident of Long Beach, was arrested for looting on October 12, 2020, and bail was set at $220,453
  • Jesse Rodriguez, 20-years-old, resident of Long Beach, was arrested for looting on October 13, 2020, and bail was set at $100,000
  • Miguel Solis,20-years-old, resident of Long Beach, was arrested for looting on October 13, 2020, and bail was set at $100,000
  • Donnivan Sanders, 19-years-old, resident of the City of Compton, was arrested for looting on October 14, 2020, and bail was set at $190,000
