Police ask public help identifying hit and run driver which injured infant

Detectives from the Long Beach Police Department’s Collision Investigation Detail are seeking the public’s help in identifying the driver of an early-’90s model white Ford Explorer who is believed to be involved in a hit-and-run injury traffic collision on Long Beach Boulevard and 67th Street, which resulted in the injury of a male infant.

The incident occurred on June 10, 2021, at approximately 11:29 a.m. and resulted in the infant being struck by the white Ford Explorer, while the infant was being pushed in a stroller by his mother. Responding officers transported the 7-month-old infant and his mother to a local hospital. The infant had non-life-threatening injuries and is currently in stable condition. The mother was uninjured, and no other injuries were reported.
