Community Development YMCA’s WEEK of EQUITY

WEEK OF EQUITY is a week of celebrating, recognizing, and empowering all communities. It’s also an annual celebration and calls for systemic actions. It will take place from August 23 through 27.

Week of Equity was founded by the Community Development YMCA in 2020. This is a time when immigrants, refugees, communities, and leaders of all dimensions of equity, diversity and inclusion come together to celebrate equity impacts and address equity challenges that will result in proposing equity solutions for the unprecedented challenges.

This event connects, inspires, and empowers people of all backgrounds to address all dimensions of inequity at the local, national, and global level. This is also a bridgebuilding pathway that leads to sustainable collaborations and partnerships for positive behavior and systemic changes in all forms of discrimination and inequity in our society and the world.

This year, Week of Equity focuses on three areas: Equity in Mental Health, Digital Broadband, and Youth Workforce and Entrepreneurial.
