LBLN Weekend Round-up

Life in Long Beach is never boring! There’s always something going on and LBLN has put together a list of events that you’ll want to check out this weekend.

FRIDAY

Bingo Night at Ficklewood Ciderworks is a night of all kinds of bingo including normal rounds, speed rounds, full card rounds, and surprise bingo cards. You can join in on the games with the purchase of any cider. Bingo begins at 7 p.m. Ficklewood Ciderworks is located at 720 E. Broadway.

SATURDAY

The Long Beach Motorcycle Supershow is California’s largest indoor motorcycle super show and concert. All motorcycles are welcome and the top ten winners can receive up to $7,500 in prizes. There will be over 100 vendors, a Jerry Garcia comedy show, and music from MALO. General admission is $30 and you can buy tickets here. The show will be at the Long Beach Convention Center at 300 E. Ocean Blvd from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. 

Doodlefest Oktoberfest will be at Trademark Brewing from 12 p.m. to 9 p.m. General admission is free but for $25. Attendees can get a 20 oz. Lagerdoodle Amber Lager with 20oz fills at the 16 oz price and one Oktoberfest pretzel necklace. The event will have German food, games, and a dog costume contest with prizes from the Woofpak pet kitchen. Trademark Brewing is located at 233 E. Anaheim St.

Rancho Los Alamitos is hosting Site to Site: Experience the Rancho with Nanette Brodie Dance Theatre from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. A series of dance performances will be staged throughout the Rancho with featured guests. Tickets are $50 for adults, and $25 for children ages 12 and under. Rancho Los Alamitos is at 6400 E. Bixby Hill Road. 

Owie’s QT Spoopy Clothing Swap is a clothing swap for the queer and transgender community. Donations are requested (the sliding scale is $10-$15). Attendees can bring up to 25 pieces of clothing to swap and walk away with up to 10 new items. Rules and guidelines are available on the Eventbrite page. The swap will be at Wood Coffee Co., located at 2728 E. 10th St from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. 

SUNDAY

The Alpert Jewish Community Center of Long Beach is hosting a free Open House event. There will be membership tours, early childhood tours, free fitness group classes, open swimming, indoor pickleball, crafts for kids, live music, and refreshments. The event begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. The Jewish Community Center is at 3801 E. Willow St. 

The Grand Opening of the Long Beach City College Pacific Coast Flea Market. will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Parking Lot One at 1305 E. Pacific Coast Highway. Parking and admission are free. 

Donut Miss This Run is a run, donut, and raffle event beginning at 9 a.m. at Runner’s High. Runner’s High is 4101 McGowen St, Suite 145 at Long Beach Exchange. The run is going to be an easy three miles followed by free donuts, and attendees will be entered to win tickets to a Los Angeles Clippers basketball game.
