Teenager Shot And Killed In Long Beach Tuesday Night
A 16-year-old was shot and killed Tuesday night in North Long Beach at Ramona Park walking home after playing basketball.
Long Beach police were dipatched to the 3300 block of E. 65th Street regarding a shooting. Upon arrival officers found a 16-year-old boy suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper torso. Long Beach Fire Department personnel responded and pronounced him dead at the scene, said Sgt. Bradley Johnson, a police spokesman.
The teen has been identified as Geron Bernard Lacy of Long Beach, said Ed Winter, assistant chief at the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office. He was pronounced dead at the scene in the North Long Beach park at 7:12 p.m.
