Daily Highlights

  • The City of Long Beach Department of Health and Human Services (Health Department) conducted the first vaccine clinic as part of an outreach program that vaccinates people in high-risk neighborhoods via small, community-based clinics. This first clinic, serving primarily Spanish-speaking adults 65 and older, took place on Feb. 6 at Silverado Park on the Westside and provided 500 doses of vaccine.
  • As of Feb. 6, the average number of reported daily cases in Long Beach declined to 197, the first time this figure was below 200 since Dec. 1, 2020.

Long-Term Care Facility Case Information:

  • A total of3,304 positive cases have been confirmed at LTCFs in the city since the start of the pandemic (see attachment).
