MemorialCare Medical Group Unveils New Spring Street OB/GYN Office with Ribbon Cutting Ceremony

LONG BEACH, CA – On Friday, Oct. 28, MemorialCare Medical Group hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of its new OB/GYN office in Long Beach on Spring Street. MemorialCare executives, local government officials, and several Long Beach community leaders were in attendance of the ceremony.

Eileen Tovar, representative of Assemblymember Patrick O’Donnell; Sandy Hsu, director of operations, MemorialCare Medical Group; Laurie Sicaeros, chief strategy officer, MemorialCare; Annamarie Jones, chief operating officer, MemorialCare Medical Foundation; Kris Cowley, director, strategic initiatives and transformation, MemorialCare Medical Group; and Marilyn Singer, membership & communications manager, Long Beach Area Chamber of Commerce, were all in attendance to commemorate the opening of this new OB/GYN office with a ribbon cutting ceremony.

“MemorialCare Medical Group knows that the Long Beach community has been feeling the impact of not having as many OB-GYNs in the community that it needs,” says Annamarie Jones, chief operating officer, MemorialCare Medical Foundation. “We are so happy today to be able to expand these maternity services to Long Beach and provide Long Beach residents access to the care they need, and with the high-quality care for which MemorialCare is known.”

After the ribbon cutting, Kris Cowley and the Spring Street staff gave tours inside the new clinic. The clinic contains eight exam rooms to perform fetal non-stress tests, ultrasound, and lab services so busy women don’t have to travel to another location for lab work.

This new location brings greater access to maternity care for Long Beach residents in the MemorialCare network and will provide them with quality maternity care closer to home.

Women who visit this clinic also have access to MemorialCare Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach’s pediatric and high-risk maternity care services nearby, should the need arise. Miller Children’s & Women’s was recently named a national leader in maternity care by US News & World Report.

The MemorialCare Medical Group Spring Street location will see its first patients on Monday, Oct. 31
