Ice Cream Truck Sold Meth and Marijuana, LB Police Say

Long Beach police Detectives arrest two suspects during a drug investigation. The two were allegedly selling Meth and Marijuana from an Ice Cream Truck on the 3200 Blk of E. Artesia Blvd. A firearm was also recovered, according to Long Beach Police Department spokeswoman Arantxa Chavarria.

The ice cream truck was on Artesia near Obispo around 4pm Sunday when police approached it and found drugs with a street value between $2,000 and $4,000, Chavarria said.

The two men arrested are George Williams, 57, and Monti Ware, 41, according to authorities. Williams was held in lieu of $30,000 on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale, police said. Ware was held in lieu of $50,000 bail on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance for sale, possession of a firearm while selling drugs and being an ex-felon in possession of a gun and ammunition, according to police.

Both men are from Long Beach.
