LBPD released security-camera footage from inside 7-11 store shooting

Under the new law Senate Bill 1421 (SB 1421) and Assembly Bill 748 (AB 748) the Long Beach Police Department is providing videos that are subject to be released.  Records may be added as they become available for public release.

The Long Beach Police Department just released this security-camera footage from inside a 7-11 store where an officer-involved shooting that left one person dead and another injured.

On September 19th Thursday just before 11:30pm Detectives performing surveillance on a vehicle near PCH and Clark believed to be involved in a series of robberies.

The LBPD Detectives then observed a male suspect exit the vehicle and enter a business at 5100 block of East PCH Detectives encountered the suspect armed with the handgun when an officer involved shooting took place, Long Beach Police spokesperson Shuanna Dandoy said. After further investigation it was determined to be a BB gun.

LBPD immediately begin performing lifesaving measures on the suspect until fire personal could arrive. The suspect was then pronounced deceased. A second suspect was also arrested. LBPD officers did not sustain any injuries, no other injuries reported. The investigation is ongoing
