Atlantic Avenue and Burnett Street Shooting leaves One Dead

One adult male is dead after suffering multiple gunshot wounds during a shooting at the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Burnett Street on Feb. 10.

LONG BEACH, CA – On Feb. 10, at approximately 9:45 p.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Atlantic Avenue and Burnett Street after at least one report of a person down in the street and multiple reports of gunshots heard in the area, which resulted in the death of a male adult.

Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from multiple gunshots to his upper body. Officers provided first aid until Long Beach Fire Department personnel arrived on scene, and determined the victim deceased.

The investigation is preliminary, and information is limited. There is no suspect description or known motive. Homicide detectives remain committed to collecting all available evidence which will help them identify a suspect in this shooting.

The victim has been identified as Gaylon Bolton, a 33-year-old resident of the City of Los Angeles.
