How to Celebrate the Best Dads in Long Beach

As Father’s Day approaches, Long Beach is gearing up with special celebrations and sales to help you treat the dads in your life.

Carnival Cruise Line and JaWana Travel have organized a 3-day Father’s Day Cruise from Long Beach to Ensenada, Mexico. The cruise, departing from the Long Beach terminal at 5 p.m. on Friday, June 17, arrives in Ensenada on June 19 and returns to Long Beach on Monday, June 20. Al Dipmore will be hosting a comedy show on Saturday, June 18, from 8 p.m. to midnight. The event, celebrating both Father’s Day and Juneteenth, will take place at 1724 E Plymouth St. in Long Beach. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $20, or at the door upon arrival for $25. 

A Better World Running is hosting a Father’s Day fun run on Sunday, June 19. Participants can sign up for the 5k, 10k, 15k, or Half Marathon, all taking place along Ocean Boulevard. Check-in will begin at 7 a.m. prior to the race, which begins at 7:30 a.m. Goodie bags and medals will be rewarded to all finishers. Registration prices range from $24.99 to $39.99 and can be purchased here

Hellada Gallery, located on Linden Avenue, is hosting a painting party on Sunday, June 19, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. No painting experience is needed in order to attend, and a featured artist will be providing a painting tutorial. More information can be found here.

Cornerstone Church’s annual Father’s Day Car Show and Pancake Breakfast is returning this year on June 19. Located on N Studebaker Road, cars will be displayed and pancakes will be served from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The Aquarium of the Pacific will host a Father’s Day BBQ on Sunday, June 19. The celebration includes admission to the aquarium, crafts, and even a meal for adults and children. The event will last from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Space is limited, so click here to reserve your tickets.

This Sunday, June 19, The Hawk Bar at 468 West Anaheim Street is having a vegan social for Father’s Day. From 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., attendees can enjoy delicious vegan food, drinks, shopping, music, and more. Indoor and outdoor seating will both be available. Additionally, a bar area will be serving alcoholic beverages for anyone who is at least 21 years of age.
